Anchoring the Dree Nights

Did I get payment for anchoring the DREE Cultural Nights? Let us find out that later.
So, yes…. Ladies and gentlemen, I got the opportunity to do anchoring the two Dree Cultural nights; oh, it was a good experience I must say. Dree is one of the major festivals of the Apatani Tribe, which is celebrated to keep the pests and insects away from the crops and other vegetations, and for better harvesting in overall. Dree nights on the other hand, are one of the biggest stages you will witness in Ziro. And anchoring the Dree night existed in my bucket list for a long time. Off course life does not give you everything at once; hence I also did not get everything at once. One of the things which unfortunately remained undone is; anchoring the Miss Apatani 2022 night, which I really wanted to host, nevertheless I still feel very fortunate enough for getting the opportunity to do anchoring the two cultural nights. In this venture, I came across so many amazing people from whom I got to learn so much. It was indeed a very knowledge gaining and fun venture. Now coming to the outfits which I wore in the two nights, Ow, people it has its own venture. The black dress which I am wearing is a modern fusion of traditional Apatani attire called Piisa Lenda Abi(skirt like attire) and this outfit has its own story. After I was selected as one of the anchor, I was left with only four days before the night of anchoring, and in addition to that, I also had to head down to Capital to appear entrance exam, so overall, I got only one day to come up with an outfit to wear on the two nights. So the first and only person that I could think of was; a very talented and an amazing person who is none other than my own family member, Mudang Nassung Tage, my favourite Sister in Law. I contacted her and gave a little gist of how I want my dress to look like, and I am forever grateful and thankful to her for sacrificing her Piisa Lenda Abi ( a very costly traditional attire), and for making a two piece dress out of it in such a short period of time. All the work done on that dress including the design pattern, cuts, stitches, etc, everything is completely done by her. People! She is really talented. The other tri color skirt like attire is also a traditional Apatani attire, known as Bilañ Abi. And if you people still remember one of my blog ‘ Most Beautiful Lady ever that I have come across’, then let me tell you that it is that Abi(skirt like attire), which my Grandma was making for me in that blog. Wearing this Abi felt like wearing a blessed armor gifted by my grandmother. And the black top and the heels have its own story.
One of the best moments in the backstage was this moment, the kid in this picture is my Queen, my smartest cousin; they say that she is my younger version. She came to the backstage and asked for a photo with me, I am no celebrity, but when she came, I was overjoyed and kind of little satisfied because she somehow looks up to me and you do not want to be a bad example to your younger ones, especially when you know that someone looks up to you.
People! if you are still reading this far, then thank you so much. And about the payment, I got no penny for anchoring, trust me, I am uttering no lies and I have no comments on this.
